Krista M. Hosmer

Krista M. Hosmer

Krista Hosmer focuses her practice on sophisticated business disputes centered on breach of contract, trade secrets, unfair competition, patent, trademark, and copyright litigation. Ms. Hosmer has a strong background in intellectual property. This area of the law is particularly complex as it deals with having to understand new technologies to protect innovations. Ms. Hosmer painstakingly engages in discovery, both electronic and traditional, to understand how technologies are developed and to prove her client’s superior rights to intellectual property. Ms. Hosmer is an effective advocate fully recognizing that without the protection of ideas, businesses and individuals would not reap the benefits of their inventions. She has distinguished herself by achieving excellent results in high-profile cases that have resulted in her clients retaining valuable intellectual property rights. Ms. Hosmer is passionate about her representation believing that, “intellectual growth and discovery clearly demonstrates the need for unfettered freedom, the right to think the unthinkable, discuss the unmentionable, and challenge the unchallengeable.”

Ms. Hosmer actively works to strengthen her ties with her community. Even though she works tirelessly in her legal practice, she takes every opportunity to serve and strive to participate in worthwhile projects. She is involved in Special Olympics and gains much satisfaction in being part of the selfless team of individuals that provide education, sports and youth leadership to Michigan students with and without intellectual disabilities. Ms. Hosmer also is a strong supporter of Breast Cancer Awareness organizations and provides help to those affected by breast cancer. She receives hope and inspiration from her family, friends, and those she is privileged to help through community activities.
