Mr. Williamson joined
Mantese and Rossman, P.C. in 2004 after graduating
cum laude from Wayne State University Law School. While
at Wayne Law, Mr. Williamson served as Senior Note Editor
for the Journal of Law in Society. Mr. Williamson was
a member of the Moot Court Program, and he distinguished
himself in 2003 by winning the school’s annual
Law Day Competition. He also received the Silver Key
Certificate for academic excellence, the Ira J. Spoon Award
for outstanding legal research and writing on urban development,
and several faculty and Moot Court awards. Prior to
attending Wayne Law, Mr. Williamson received his Bachelor
of Arts degree from the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor.
Mr. Williamson initially focused his
practice on business and appellate litigation. Since
joining Mantese and Rossman, P.C., Mr. Williamson has obtained
favorable judgments and settlements for clients in numerous
business disputes, particularly those between shareholders,
members, and partners of closely held businesses. In
August 2005, Mr.
Williamson co-authored a Michigan Bar Journal article entitled
Minority Shareholder Oppression: From Estes to Franchino. Mr.
Williamson has also successfully defended both corporations
and individuals against various tort and contract
claims. Since 2004, Mr. Williamson has enjoyed
nearly unbroken success in the Michigan Court of Appeals.
In
addition to his litigation practice, Mr. Williamson has
substantial experience advising clients with respect
to business entity formation and corporate transactions. He has
drafted numerous organizational documents for both profit
and non-profit entities, as well as employment contracts,
shareholder agreements, contracts for the purchase
or sale of business assets or ownership interests, forbearance
and loan workout agreements, and other complex contracts.
Mr. Williamson currently serves as an adjunct professor
at Lawrence Technological University in Southfield, Michigan. He
teaches an introductory business management course.
